Most lingerie is made abroad, and its sizes do not match what you wear from a Kampala market. Two minutes with a tape measure saves a return. Here is how to get it right.
Measure, don't guess
Use a soft tape, over light underwear, standing relaxed. Keep the tape level and snug, not tight.
- Bust: around the fullest part.
- Waist: around the narrowest part, usually just above the belly button.
- Hips: around the widest part of the bottom.
Then compare them with the size chart on the product page. In the PZ app, Find my size on any item with sizes does it for you: enter the three numbers once and it picks the size for each item.
Imported sizes run small
Many pieces are made to Asian sizing, which runs about one size smaller than you expect. If you are between sizes, choose the larger one. The size finder in the app already moves imported items up one size for this reason.
Styles that forgive a size mistake
- Babydolls and robes: loose from the bust down, so only the bust needs to fit. A sheer babydoll bodysuit is UGX 55,000.
- Anything with stretch mesh or adjustable straps.
- Plus-size cuts are made for curves, not just scaled up: the plus-size lace teddy is UGX 77,000.
Strict styles, like corsets and fitted bodysuits with no stretch, need the most accurate measurements.
Delivery and returns
Most of the lingerie shelf is imported: allow 3 to 8 weeks, and the product page shows the date before you pay. It arrives in a plain parcel. For hygiene, worn lingerie cannot be returned; unworn pieces with the tags on can be, within 7 days of delivery (returns policy). Wash new lingerie by hand, in cool water, before wearing.
